This German playwright breaks down an ideal way to spend the day. Funny how prescriptions from centuries gone by can still be entirely apt today.
“Every day we should hear at least one little song, read one good poem, see one exquisite picture, and, if possible, speak a few sensible words.”
– Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

Fantastic – and a perfect image to go with the quote!. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks MF!
Yes,I know this guy! Well I don’t know him per say. Love his poetry!
You guys are BFFs, right? (love his writing too CP!)
“no one is more enslaved than those who believe they are free”
I love this photo (and the quote)! There is nothing so wonderful (to me) as watching children dance freely, no “steps” or direction, just doing what the music calls from their souls. This is dance in its purest form…no editing, no censoring…music made visible. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
So agree! There is such a freedom inherent in pure expression. Thanks for sharing your beautiful words!

Hello! i posted on just this quotation the other day! You might like the song, poem and painting that I used to illustrate those very ‘sensible words”
All the best to you 🙂
Turns out you were right! Loved your post!
🙂
I did not know this poetry. Thanks for sharing and greetings from Good Old Germany,
Susi
